Bloody Marys on Bora Bora

So enough of the beautiful vistas here in paradise!  George and I spent part of Superbowl Sunday here at Bloody Mary's having Bloody Marys and watching the Superbowl in French! We had just taken a long, bumpy ride around Bora Bora and really needed a drink!

George started out the day walking on the ocean floor -- He absolutely loved it! He got some great pictures too!

But I can't leave you without a beautiful image of one of the many island hotels that are built out on the motus -- picture perfect and so idyllic!

Can't tell you how much we're enjoying the vicarious trip around the world with you! Looking at your photos is an instant (if temporary) remedy for the winter blues and blahs. Would write more often, but how many ways can we say it's still cold, still raining without sounding like we're whining? That said, the weather has actually gotten better the last few days, and today is downright spring-like.

You did miss a bit of excitement with Super Tuesday. So refreshing to have California be a part of the action!

Looks as if you're about on your way to Auckland. Don't forget to do plenty of wine tasting! Dan and I loved a trip to Waiheke Island (about 35 min by boat) for a fabulous meal at Mudbrick winery overlooking the vineyards and water. Would highly recommend it if you have chance. You can also see the America's Cup winning yacht mounted on the pier. The race apparently sparked redevelopment of the whole area. People couldn't stop talking about the South Island and urging us to come back to spend some time there. Should be wonderful--lots to look forward to on the next few stops.

I gave your itinerary and blog address to my dad, a huge cruise fan. He's thoroughly enjoying the armchair trip.

Can't wait for the next installment...Party on!

Hello Ann & George!

Bloody Marys on Bora Bora; how wonderful! How about Wine in the Hot Tub in the North Woods? As we sit with icicles in our hair tonight we will think of you in Fiji; maybe in your honor we will have Mai Tais instead! We have escaped the city with its year-end corporate life for a long weekend up here with wind chills predicted to -40.

We thought of you two on Jan 19 and were delighted to tune into the Blog today. What an amazing trip! We will enjoy following along, if only virtually, on your adventure of a lifetime.

Bliss & Richard
